Drug Alcohol Training

Prior to policy implementation, all employees (including new employees) should be provided with drug alcohol training and education about the effects of drugs and alcohol. Education is critical to the successful management of substance abuse in the workplace. Drug alcohol training will provide the necessary information to help employees manage their consumption of drugs and alcohol and avoid inadvertently breaching policy rules.

Drug alcohol training should include information on:

  • The effects of drugs and alcohol on health and safety
  • How to recognise the signs and symptoms of substance misuse
  • The factors that lead to dependency on drugs and alcohol
  • How to get help if a person has a drug or alcohol problem

drug alcohol trainingKeyclear have developed a drug alcohol training pack consisting of a 45 minute interactive presentation on CD-ROM and an accompanying 20 page booklet. In organisations with a large and geographically dispersed workforce, traditional training courses can be expensive, time consuming and logistically challenging. Educating employees using the information pack is cost effective and can be delivered to the entire workforce immediately.
